I told my ex about this guy that has been texting me loads and he was like tell him to **** off and then i said he had asked me what i was wearing and my ex goes what a freak does this show he cares about me or is protective over me?

I don't think he can handle the fact that he "lost you" and he still feels like your his girl...this might just be his first break-up and he doesn't really know how to respond because he still obviously has feelings for you.

Sure, he might be protective, or he might just think that people who ask others what they are wearing are weird...never know...
Personally, I'm a little protective over all my ex's, not because I still wish that they were mine, but because I do not want to see them get involved with the wrong people.
