I just watched a nature show and Killer Whales will prolong the deaths of their prey, playing with it and causing incredible amount of suffering. Why?

God didn't tell the Orcas to act in this manner. Are you insane? It is simply in the genetic coding, it is what they have done for many, many years. They will continue to do this. It is just a way for the Orcas to tire their prey and make it easier to catch and eat. It isn't as if God said, "I want to make a creature that will torture other creatures and then eventually eat them... God doesn't control the minds of Orcas, get real...

Are you talking about the show that had grey whales? I saw that yesterday it was horrible the killer whales tortured the mother and baby for 6 hours. But they got away because the made it in to the shallows. I was so happy. And they survived too. But to get to your Q God did not do that the reason our world is so terrible is because of Satan. He is why we have death pain It is all due to sin. Blame the right one Satan. He loves it when ppl blame God.

I saw the same thing. It freaked me out.
Because we live in a fallen world. When Adam and Eve disobeyed in the garden of Eden, a curse was put on all the earth. Us, the ground, the animal kingdom. Lions were never created to go after and murder little baby gazelles. It is the fallen condition of the world, its falling into sin, that makes all these horrors.
There will come a day when the lion will lie down with the lamb, when Jesus Christ returns.

All animal predators do this, its the way of nature. Nothing to be upset about unless you have dogs. They also do this and can identify the easiest to die, making their next meal less strenuous. Amazing to realize that nature isn't innocent isn't it.

hmm.... its hard to judg an animal as having the same code as humans. they hunt they kill they eat its what they are... and i suppose its like Richie said above, its just away to make it easier for them to eat it and thereby perhaps nescessary. interesting question tho.
