I have a boyfriend who I've loved for over 3 years but we have only dated for 2 months now. Being with him is really strange he acuses me of cheating on him, doesn't pit effort into seeing me and blows up at the drop of a hat. He tells me he loves me and we see each other about once a day for a few minutes to a few hours. He talks about everything negitive and rarely says anything sweet. He says this is because he never got compliments as a kid growing up. When I compliment him he ignores it or turns away. He has said I'm his dream but I'm not so sure it doesn't seem like he is treating me like I'm a dream. Do I continue on and see if it gets better or call it a loss? I have always felt like I would spend the rest of my life with him and the person he is displaying is not the one I fell in love with.

Ouch. Most people like that do NOT get a lot better. I'm sorry. :(

Ask him if you're doing anything that stresses him out, that you can stop. That's about the only attempt to fix things I'd make before moving on.

The anger is a particular reason not to give him much rope. Tempers intimidate one, even if one isn't afraid of violence or anything like that, and being intimidated is not a good way to live.

One can be emotionally abused even by somebody who isn't a classic evil abuser.

ask him if somethings been wrong lately thats making him negative. maybe he liked you as long long as youve liked him and hes still overwhelmed that youre finally dating. try to wait and see if it gets better, but not too long! good luck
