I normally take a bunch of puzzles, coloring books and stuff for the little kids, and for the older ones, they normally like to do their own thing. If you want, plan a movie hour. Have them pick out a movie, and make pop-corn, and give them a piece of candy and a fruit drink. Let the 10 year old help you, they like to be treated like a teen. And you can play hide and seek, that's always a big hit when I babysit. And when your "it", pretend like you can't find them. Especially the 4 year old. And maybe go outside and play soccer or catch or the swing if it's light. Talk about their interests, they seem to really like that. Both the 10 year old and the 4 year old. I hope I could help and good luck tonight! ~isa B-)

Your going to want to have some physical games such as tag, catch, red light green light. If the weather is warm try to do this outside. You can also have contests to see how fast he can run. Time him to run up and down the driveway or what ever area you can set. Time him the first time and encourage him to see if he can run faster next time. Do it until he doesn't want to anymore. Maybe his sister will want to try to race against him. Your goal is to wear him out a little and then if you sit him in front of the tv he should settle down by then.

Well try to make a game where you will use building blocks and see who can make the biggest and tallest. Then make them color some books, AND tell them the winner is the one who won't go out of the lines. ALso try and tame the small one by telling him to make the tallest building he can. But tieing him up helps too

Make a meal together, a pizza or bake cupcakes. My 3 yr old is really wild too but he is so civilized when we are cooking and feels like he has accomplished something.

If you want to get him to bed easily, don't do anything that will make him crazier before bed. If you read to him/ them, if the girl is interested, then hopefully he will calm down enough to settle him into bed. Until bedtime, you could play a game with them as they probably want to show off to you and want attention.

Bring over a movie to keep her occupied, or maybe play a game with her. Like chutes and ladders or maybe candyland.
