A 4 year old? Hmm...will he be awake the whole time you are there? Try sitting down and drawing with him, or putting in a nice movie he likes..
Playing a game with him, keeping him occupied so he gets tired and wants to just sit down and relax after awhile...
The 10 year old will be much easier..you can go ahead and ASK her what she likes doing, and most likely she will tell you!
Try finding an easy enough board game for everyone to play!!

Sounds like a great opportunity for a movie night, there are some great kids movies that just came out that all will enjoy such as Cars, Hunting Season and a few more I can't think of at the moment, bring some popcorn, avoid sugary things and you should be fine.
Most boys that age are too busy to enjoy coloring and crafts and they can easily get out of hand plus that won't be much fun for the 10 year old. If the movie thing isn't working try taking them to the nearest park to work out some energy until close to bedtime, then put the movie in to wind down.
After the 4 year old goes to bed spend some time with the 10 year old, offer to let her paint your nails or let her show you her interests. Follow her cues and treat her as more of an equal so she will respond to you.

Find something to keep him hands busy. Get pasta noodles that can be threaded on yarn to make a necklace. Tell him that you want to see if he can make a pretty necklace for his mommy or his grandmother. Make a big deal about how great a job he's doing and proud you are. He just needs a little attention.
You can also get some construction paper and cut out different shapes glue them to paper plates and thread yarn through a hole to make window decorations. Just keep him busy with crafts. Continually tell him how great a job he's doing.

Play games with them. Get them to run around a lot so they'll be tired when it's time to go to bed.
