No its not. You should go now. Thats really sad. Its better not to go to the cops because they do tend to stick up for each other. This is true but in some cases it depends on where you live. Go to the Legal Aid Society. The site below is for rape centers.

It happened in 09 (before the new year)? If so, you can make a police report, but I don't know if it would go to court with the little evidence that you have. You really should have gone right away and had a rape kit done. But by all means- file a police report! At least then it's documented.

Unfortunately there are a lot of sick people out there, and people who will support them. It's never too late to report the rape. Go to the police and make the report. They should be understanding. It's not uncommon for women who have been raped to not report it right away. But, the sooner you report it, the less of a chance he will hurt someone else.
Forget about the threats to keep you silent and make you look like you're lying. They might seem like powerful deterents right now, but when it's all finished with, you'll look back and wonder why you ever even listened to them.
Just remember that any decent person who knows of this is silently backing you up.
Do your best!

You should report it, if only to help in your healing.
You really should be talking to someone about this. That is a big deal and you may very well may need help and guidance to get through it.
There are a lot of good rape counselors, they will not make you report it to the police (although they will likely encourage it) and they will keep your story confidential. They will be familiar with the process and what you are feeling (many of the good ones become counselors after they have been victimized).

I would report it even if the statute of limitation has expired. After 2 years, unless there are witnesses, I doubt there is enough evidence to charge him. The report may influence the sentence if he is later convicted of another charge.
Someone will probably state that 'prior bad acts' are not admissible at trial. I believe the rules are different after conviction when determining sentence.

The statute of limitations is 7 years in most places. But you will need evidence.

Go ahead and report it, but unless you've got some sort of other evidence you dont have much of a case.
