Las fiestas de la calle San Sebastian as we all call them is an event that younger and older crowds look forward to every year. It celebrates a saint, but it is more like a big party for a whole weekend than a religious festival. People drink on the streets, you will probably find half of your high school and college classmates, there are pleneros (folklore music from african influence) everywhere, and agian lots of alcohol. It usually takes place on the third weekend of January. If you have a chance....plan your PR vacations around that date. It is like Mardi Grass with a latin twist. During the day there are many arts and crafts, concerts, and food everywhere. At night it is a wild live party.

There are some videos on YouTube from the San Sebastian Street "Festival".
