first of all you need to take it out wen u eat....

Try to push it closer together LIGHTELY and only for a second or 2 or else it might get to small. If you cannot get it to fit wait to go to the dentist.

How hot was the soup?
The retainer mayjust need to be cooled down. not too quickly. try running it under cold water or just set it out to reach room temperature.
