If I currently have permanent hair color in my hair and want to change to a different permanent hair color (a different shade of blonde) will I first have to strip out or bleach the previous permanent hair color before the new permanent hair color will take? I've already tried applying the new permanent hair color but my hair color stays the same and won't switch colors when I apply the new permanent color. I read somewhere that tint won't lift tint. I was trying to switch to a cooler less warm shade of blonde. My current permanent color is an orangy-golden blonde and I hate the tone.

You Are Right, Tint Won't Lift Other Tint Very Effectively. However, You Can Remove The Old Tint And Recolor WITHOUT Bleaching Your Hair. Get L'OREAL Color Remover Kit OR Color Oops! (Takes you back to your original color.
Gently removes permanent & semi-permanent hair color.
Takes only 20 minutes.
Safe and easy.
Ammonia free/Bleach free.
Re-color the same day.
Color Oops! is a safe and effective way to remove unwanted hair color in just 20 minutes.
Color Oops! reverses the hair coloring process by shrinking down the hair color molecule so small that it simply washes away.) If You Can't Find These Try The Local Beauty Supply. Then You Will Need A New Color To Apply. Find A Champagne Or Beige Blonde "Ash Blonde" May Be TOO Drab. And You Can Always Dye It Drabber Next Time (If It Turns Out Too Drab You'll Have To Go Though The "Remover" Again). Good-Luck.

Your hair is orangy because that is what hair naturally lifts up to. See a stylist you trust and ask for a toner. It is gentle and will add shine.

Try dying it normally and then try to bleach it and then dye it normally, normal blond might turn into a different shade if bleached.

Don't recolor your hair. Let it grow out to your natural color. Our own hair color go with the complexion God gave us. Go with that. Orange hair looks so trashy and I am sure you are not !!!!

orange or (red) is always hardest to cover...u may just have to let it fade out first or get it done professionally...don't strip it yourself
