I know that it is bad for dogs, but not sure for cats. Reason why I'm asking this question, is that every time I get out my favorite candy, my cat wants some. I've never given any to him. Mainly because if it's bad for dogs, then it is possibly bad for cats too.

NO! Never feed chocolate to any animals. Chocolate is toxic to the majority of domesticated animals. It's not the fact that it's candy and full of sugar that harms them, it the cocoa in the chocolate itself that is harmful, so NO chocolate is ok for them. Besides, they wouldn't like it anyway. Cats are carnivores, not herbivores (chocolate is technically derived from a plant), so they prefer meat more than anything (although they do also love milk and eggs).

never ever give cats or dogs chocolate because you will regret it because they can die from it. find a treat that they like but nothing with chocolate in it. don't give a growen up cat milk either because they do not have the proper imune system to digest it
