God is eternal outside the dimension of time. Before God made the universe, there was no time, nor space, nor matter. It is not within the scope of the human mind, to conceive of a time, before there was time.

Actually, time and space don't exist without the universe. So-- whatever was 'before' the universe (the something that always existed -- whether it's process, potential, whatever) is something that is beyond all our concepts because our brains and understanding are constrained by the very universe we're a part of. There's no time, no form, no spirit, no energy, no potential, no process, no whatever -- it's Something but it can't be described in ANY way. That's why people who have a (REAL) direct experience of IT can never ever put it in words. So -- when we ask the question, 'what did god do for all that time', we're making this into a specific image and into a context (time, personhood, etc.) that we understand but that has no reality.

How in the world can any human adequately answer a question like that? That's really a 'wait and ask Him yourself' question. Even then, He may tell you it's not for you to know. If He wanted us to know about that, He would've made that knowledge available to us. Just know this: everything we don't know or can't -- as finite humans -- understand about an infinite God is still subject to His character. Because He is not only unchanging but also infinitely just and loving, you can trust that whatever He did was in His character and is therefore nothing to worry about.

Does it really matter in the grand scheme of things? He's told us everything we need to know to find salvation and live a Christian life. As the song says, "We'll understand it better by and by" or as Jesus said, "All will be revealed that has been hidden." So we can't know everything about God until we see Him face to face and by then, you won't be the least bit curious about what He did before He created the Universe.

Wow! I don't know where to start making my guess about that question.
Succinctly, The Bible creation story was thrown in their by Moses from the campsite stories famous in among his ancestors. It is a pretty good story, but in those days they called the heavens "where birds fly".
So, In order to comply with science, technology, evolution, NASA, and the Bible; I am guessing that God is loving scientist from an advanced planet which was formed shortly after the Universe was formed 13.7 Billion years ago. Our Planet Earth is only 4.5 billion year old. The difference in the ages of God's Home Planet (Heaven) and us is about 9 billion year; so Heaven is about 9 billion years more advanced than us; scientifically, technologically, and of course evolutionarily.
I have written a book about my guesses "God's Ancestors"
here are a few stats about your question:
1. God's parents were born after Eternal Life became a natural result of Evolution. (Gamma and PapaG were his mom and dad)
2. God's wife's name is Natalie; she was the mother of teleportation - so to say
3. God's son was "Jasper", just kidding, his son's name was Jesus.
4. God, a loving scientist from Heaven, volunteered to go on the Earth Mission, to select people who would make good neighbors on Planet H (Heaven)
should I go on?

Not everyone believes that God just always existed, got bored one day and started playing with his tinker toys. Some actually believe that God did indeed have a beginning.

Here's a scary thought... maybe he made a bunch of other worlds that just didn't work out. Maybe we're the best so far....
Or, maybe it's a futile question. No offense.
