It's not a happy day for everyone. My Mam had a massive stroke when I was 15, she died 15 years later and 10 years after she passed on, I miss her like crazy. She can't see this but I hope you won't mind me saying Happy Mothers Day, Mam.

As for presents, about twenty years ago, I gave her a carriage clock I got in the market. She absolutely loved it and it sat on the top of the television from that day on. It's still there.

I bought her a few vanilla stuff from the body shop mmm they smell lovely lol. And these long knee high socks coz she likes socks.

I don't normally waste money on these stupid holidays made to take your money. I don't think there should be one day to be nice to your mum a year, but even so, I like buying her stuff, so I did.

:D

My mother doesn't approve of the day on principle as she thinks we should be grateful every day of the year! She has a point but I always ring and make a joke about it and chat to her and thats probably the best gift I could give her and me!!

In Mexico it's not until May 10, and my mom lives in Mexico, so I haven't bought anything yet.
I'm thinking about it, though.
