Me & my friends are going to high school (9th grade) next year. We were talking about the age a person is mature enough to date. But we couldn't decide. One of my friends said that I am mature and am the oldest out of all them-almost 15 this fall, so I could date. But out of curiousity, I wondered about it and decided to ask here.
So my question is: Do you think a 9th grader should date? Why or why not? Also, if a person DID feel ready how would they go about convincing their parents?

they can date but just dont make any adult decisions like sex etc try to keep the relationship on a downlow and like it is more of a friendship

ok, i'm a 9th grader now and that's not something like what human beings say. effective, some human beings are all anti-inexperienced persons, yet some human beings are not. in the experience that your a funky guy or woman, no longer shy or bratty and you're relaxing to be around, you will attraction to definitely definitely everyone. I think that dating in the 9th grade is ok--if both people are responsible. I would not take things too seriously though since people are usually just starting to enter the dating world and it takes many frogs to get the prince!! :) As far as the parents go, the best thing is to be honest to them and if they let you date just build up their trust in you--that is so important. They are not trying to control you, they just need time to let go. Good luck!!

If you feel ready, then you're ready. I started dating the summer before 9th grade; that lasted 8 months.

i say about the age of 16 but 15 is ok, but most people date very early it depends on your parents
to convince your parents you may have to let them meet whatever guy you are trying to get with
