Depends if you want to start it or not...
If all you want to do is open the car door, any hardware store can make the key if they will know it's just to open the door.
If it's a PATS key to start .. you are in luck in that it's the older system...
Got to the dealer or locksmith and have them cut the pats key (average cost about $35).. cycle the original pats key in and wait for the theft light to go out... take that key out and install the new key and wait till the light is out (3 seconds roughly) after taking it out.. car should start with new key
your system is the older one for mustang and allows for this.. any one made after 1998 requires 2 keys to do what I just stated so you are in luck.

Yes, but you'll have to go to the dealer - hardware stores don't carry keys with chip. Not sure what a key your particular car will cost, but Ford charged $60 for my '01 Focus.

yes a spare key can be made but it will cost more than a regular key. go to a hardware store.

Yes. Just contact the dealership and ask them to get you a spare key and they will make one for you. I dont know how much it will cost though.

yes they can but its not cheap i lost my ford escort key and it cost about 125 to get a new one
