First - the companies that sued and received a judgment against you cannot remove the tradeline themselves. It is a public record from the courts and is out of their hands.

Opt out and order a "paid" copy of your reports from each credit reporting agency (CRA).

Using a paid report from each CRA gives them 30 days to investigate (plus an extra 5 days for mailing the results) Using the free FACT-ACT reports gives them an additional 15 days to investigate. That could make the difference in what you are disputing remaining instead of being removed.

Never, ever contact the CRA's when you have a current dispute going until they are finished. Contacting them for "anything" will only result in an extra 15 days added to their investigations. Even if the CRA's contact you for more information, wait until the 30 days have run before responding.

Remove all inaccurate personal information - outdated addresses, wrong names, etc.

If the judgment is listed with an outdated address, it "may" fall off if the old address is removed. (though there is a chance the old address may not be removed if it is tied to a tradeline or the address will be removed but the judgment remains)

Wait until the CRA's have finished their investigation and have notified you of the results before disputing the judgments.

Get a certified copy of the "recorded judgment" and look it over carefully. Look for any discrepancy - such as the recorded judgment shows a zero balance because it was paid and the CRA's show a dollar amount, or you were successful in getting the address removed but the judgment remained, etc.

If there is "any" discrepancy "hand write" a letter to the CRA's and say - I have no such recorded judgment from this Court , for this , for this

Hopefully it will be removed. But, if it is verified, file an online complaint with the FTC then redispute with the CRA's and include a printout copy of your FTC complaint

Sometimes they fall off with the address removal, sometimes they fall off with that dispute, sometimes they fall off after a complaint is filed with the FTC and redisputed - and sometimes they are just a PITA to remove.

Your assumption is like maximum persons's in that when you pay a derogatory merchandise it's going to be bumped off out of your credit area. in certainty the only factor which will replace on your checklist is that the debt would be shown to have a nil stability and the date it replace into paid. what's going to stay for seven years is the historic previous of the date, how lots it replace into for, even if it replace right into a set or lien, while the account replace into opened and while it replace into paid off. of direction a paid undesirable debt is greater effective than an open one however the pay off does no longer do away with the delinquencies.

You need to dispute the charge with the credit union and see where they direct you. You might even have to hire a lawyer and sue the landlord if it is not removed in 30 days.

Contact who put them on and ask to have them removed since they have been paid in full.

Most creditors will do that as long as the debt has been paid.

Good luck
