Take a vaction with your girlfriend. You'll Def. get over him.
Treat your self: shopping, pedi, mani, massage, etc
Take some classes: belly dancing, spanish/italian/other/ guitar lessons, sewing lessons, etc that will get your mind off him.

Remember: you have your friends and family who love you. You don't need a man. What for?

I too am dealing with the devastation of a broken heart. And I truly do not know how to cope. Like everyone else that has ever suffered this type of loss, I truly believed he was the ONE. And I guess I was wrong. Our break up came as a complete shock to me. I'm barely hanging on. Worst part is, I'm 600 miles from my family and have absolutely no one. I do not have any friends. I just don't know what to do next. I know everyone says that time will heal all wounds but what if it doesn't? What if there are some things you just never get over?

There is absolutely no quick fix to healing a broken heart. you have got to know what feels good and gradually get back in the game. Whatever you enjoyed doing prior to the breakup, are things you can definately start back doing. Try to find the things that made you happy and do it. It could be something as simple as listening to your fav radio station, to working out at the gym. Excercise always helps, looking good never hurts. Surround yourself with positive people, maybe a great friend, relative, someone that you can talk to but can also make you feel better and maybe make you smile. Rent some funny dvds and laugh your a-s off. All in all, find what makes you feel good and know that Rome wasn't built in a day and know what you are going through is a temporary condition. Good luck

Time is the best healer and the only way to deal with broken heart is "to accept the realty" and don;t just think why it happened , more important is to what to do next to avoidthis kinda situation and not let your hear break again .
Try to get back to your life as it's God given and is given once . Value it and love it . Ups and downs are always there, learn from your mistakes and make a difference ....
Keep yourself busy, don't get involve in silly emotional commitments unless you are ready to commit. pamper yourself and see your worth and capabilities. Believe in you!
best wishes,

Well first of all-what happened???
You need to take your mind off it and here are some tips that just might:
1. Tell a friend or someone you trust about all tha happened, you will feel better after it gets out of your system.
2. Take a walk and think all that has happened to you-tell yourself that you can grieve (cry, be deppressed, etc.) because you are hurt in a way a lot of people aren't.
3. if other people talk about- just say that you aren't really in the mood for that subject and talk about something else for that time.
Good luck and email me back what you have dom ok?
Thanks

Have a good cry (either by yourself or with friends who will cry with you), then continue to live your life. Surround yourself by people who are fun, have a great sense of humor and can make you laugh. Dealing with a broken heart takes time, but you'll get over it eventually. Just don't let it ruin your life.

A lot of the answers say 'go out' ms. Ashley may very well be an introvert and may not get a genuine thrill of being at a club or large social gathering. Just my $.02
IMO the remedy is patience/self control. Eventually you'll find someone else. Good luck.

Tell yourself the reasons why you should not be with the guy anyway.(his faults) Hang out have a lot of fun as much as you can. With your girlfriends. Ask GOD to remove that chapter out of your mind and heart and ask GOD for assistance in moving on... It recently worked for me. Now he is calling me ready to see me!!! But I know for a fact that the devil is a liar!!! He doesnt really want me, he's just curious about what i'm doing since I don't call all day everyday like I use to.
