From what I've seen, it's rarely valid "criticism," but rather insulting and ridicule spewed by the atheists, who seem to go out of their way to do this.

It is an ask and answer site. It is not for criticism , it is not a forum. It was made so that those who had religious or spiritual questions could ask and hopefully find answers. In all truth everyone would be right to report all of you for harassment. Most are to tolerant to do so and some still hope to help you.

the criticism isnt the problem. Its the total disdain for anyone with any kind of belief that they can not see. It is this that the Atheists decide to give the Christians and others on the internet that we would rather they leave out of the comments, if it is relatively clean and has some kind of backing (which i'm not saying is everyone) we would have no problem with it

No one comes here for criticism they come here to ask questions and get answers or give answers and it is the religion and spirituality category , the atheists have made it clear they have nothing to offer in the way of questions or answers relating to this category. They do not offer answers only criticism or insults, they only serve to re-enforce what religious people already believe.

If the question or comment makes sense or is valid, bring it on.
If the question makes absolutely no sense what so ever or is based on a lack of knowledge, it makes no diff to me if you are an atheists, Catholic, Muslim or any other religion.
Critism is fine with me. I receive a daily dose many times. It helps me to grow as a person and as a believer in Christ. It pushes me to study and learn.

This is one Christian who would be bored and disappointed if the atheists left this forum. There are many intelligent and fun non-believers here whose company I enjoy very much.
Criticism doesn't bother me -- lack of respect does, no matter which side it's coming from. When atheists insult my belief system and blaspheme my Lord and Savior, that aggravates me. And when someone tells an atheist that they're going to Hell, that also annoys me in equal measure.
Like Aretha said, it's all about R*E*S*P*E*C*T. Gimme my propers, and I'll do likewise for you.

No, I haven't noticed that. Can you cite some specific examples?
-------- updated after you added a link
Ok, so you said "a lot" of religious people "asked athiests to go away." I asked for evidence, because I had not noticed it. You gave 1 link, only one. I read it, and honestly, I don't see any harassment or any that asked atheists to "go away." Are there more links that you can cite, or is this your entire amount of evidence for your point of view?

Some can't. You could talk to the rest of us instead. If you try to understand us without trying to change our views, you may find that many of us who are religious will be perfectly willing to discuss things with you and show you the same respect. Peace be with you

some how , they have the idea that they are evil ppl and nothing more - I mean , how much more evil can it get?
Albert Einstein or Ernest Hemingway - yeah , they are probably about as evil as they come.
God, if I could have a buck for every yoyo that says this about atheism , winning the lottery would be obsolete!

I don't have a problem with athiests asking honest questions, looking for real answers. But many of them post stupid, silly and/or offensive questions. They don't to discuss or debate they just want to be ridiculous. That's what annoys most of us...
But if you have a real question...go for it!

I've got the impression that some people on here don't much like us atheists, but I haven't been asked to go away, yet...
