We have no cottage cheese or ricotta cheese, is there any substitute or recipe?

SOUR CREAM SUBSTITUTE

1/4 c. non fat milk powder
1/2 c. cold water
8 oz. uncreamed cottage cheese
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. salt

Mix together milk and water and blend well with cottage cheese. Mix in lemon juice and salt. Keep refrigerated until needed.

Plain yogurt is the closest thing in taste. It's strange, but you can't tell the difference, even on a baked potato.
