Hydrocodone is a man-made narcotic for the treatment of pain. It is usually given in pill form with either Tylenol or Aspirin in the combination.
Dosages can be as high as 10.1000mg, depending on pain level. 10 represents the 10 mg of hydrocodone, the 1000 mg represents the amount of Tylenol (APAP) or aspirin given.
Brand names are Vicodin, Lortab, Lortab plus, and a few other brand names. Hydrocodone is considered a narcotic.
