It's the "etc." that worries me! You didn't say what kind of cheese you have or other ingrediants, so I'd stick with jello and add some fruit (except for pineapple) to it.

I love homemade pudding. The stuff you get in boxed mixes is a pale reflection of what you can make from scratch.

Take 4 cups -- oops, one litre -- of milk and slowly warm it on the stove. Add 150 ml sugar, 1 or 2 eggs, and 4 tablespoons (60 ml) potato starch (OR 3 tbl -- 45 ml -- cornstarch, if that's easier to find there. I don't know what you have available. I learned to cook with potato starch but my current country uses cornstarch. Drats.) Stir everything in until it's smooth, then let it come to a gentle boil, stirring often. Boil 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in 2 tsp (10 ml) vanilla just after you take it off the stove. You can also stir in about 100 ml dry cocoa powderwith the other dry ingredients if you want chocolate pudding. If you use that, also use an extra 50 ml milk. Serve the pudding warm or cooled with fresh fruit or a little cream. NOTHING beats homemade pudding.
