Eat healthy foods--don't skip out on fruits and veggies.
Cut out the junk food, fast food and sodas.
Drink water!!!
And, get active!!

Remember, a healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week.

I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.

It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.

Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

Stay motivated, and get up and walk every day. I seriously lost all my weight starting off my day on my walk.

Good LUCK!

Yes, don't look at this unrealistically. Medically speaking, you can run from here to the moon, but to safely have your body lose weight, it can only do it 1lb. a week. I can sense your cringing, but it is what it is.

I wish you would have been more specific about what the 15th of April is...if the date can be moved back in order for you to make weight (such as a boxer with a fluid fight date), but alas not.

I do not recommend crash dieting just to make weight for one day (having been a wrestler and fighter in my lifetime) because you run the risk of doing major damage to many of your organs and systems.

So be careful, take it slow and diligent, your body will reward you in the end.

just basically cut down on desserts & sweets & also run for maybe like half an hour every day; however, 114 pounds is already a VERY GOOD weight to be && you probably should NOT need to lose weight

Just curious why 105lb? I mean if it were to fit into an outfit or something then why does pounds matter? Shouldn't it be inches? If it's just to meet a weight goal then maybe we would be better suited to help to keep the long term goal. As I am sure you will get many quick fixes but if it were me I would be looking at long term to keep it off.

I would check out www.mypyramid.gov where you can create a healthy eating plan tailored to your calorie needs. Just enter your age, gender, and activity level and it will give you a complete healthy eating menu plan.
