I have very very thick hair. I wear it up every day and it gets very boring. I try to straighten it, and it never goes straight, its just poofy. The only time I wear it down is when a hair dresser does it, and I don't see how she does it!

I have extremely thick hair myself. I could never wear it down until my hair dresser cut gradual layers in my hair. Worked like a charm.

if your hair is just going poofy when you straighten it you need to get a professional flat iron...I have a Solia flat iron and it's amazing!
my hair is very thick- even after thinning it it's still thicker than most peoples thick hair.
try using a dove hair product for frizz control.

for a cute style

put your hair up in a messy bun!
you can leave a few strands flowing on the sides of your face though.
you're going to need a few hair elastics- try to get the no ouch ones. and lots of bobby pins- this style often stretches out the bobby pins so they're not often reusable.

put your hair in a pony tail when still wet then scrunch it up and make it go all crazy and then start grabbing pieces and putting them into a bunch onto of the pony tail to make it a messy bun.
It's hard to explain how to do it because I just do it and it works.
you're going to want the ends of your hair poking out in different directions and it looks really cute and flirty. when you're done spray some hair spray and you're ready to go!

i have the same problem. you can ask your hair dresser for advice or wear your hair curly. Another way to curl your hair instead of using an iron is using curl moose and curly spray. That tends to make the hair alot more thin since it works on me.

Get a relaxer.. A box relaxer. It's the same thing the beautician does. Just make sure you follow the directions carefully. It will make your hair thinner, less poofy, and straight

if your hair is curly or you can make it curly that would look nice

maybe braids but most people don't like that, it's too much work

you can do the curl thing where after you wash it, you put some curl stuff on it, do not put wrap lotion on it because it will poof and then put curlers in it and sit under the dryer it should come out nice

or get layers

why dont you try a new hair cut, like shaggy, bob cut or layered at least you will minimize wearing pony-tail.if you dont want,go to hair salon and have it rebonding or go for hair waxing.

How about ask the hairdresser what she does to your hair, so you can try it at home :]
