Absolutely bad.
It is high in sugars, calories...have you seen what soda looks when it dries up? It becomes syrup. That's never good for your body.
I was told by a doctor the average person gains 15 pounds a year from drinking soda.

soda is not REALLY bad, but it isnt great either. Everything regarding dieting and weight is all about amounts and moderation. Sugar can spike your insulin levels if you have too much, but then again, our body needs it. It has definite long term effects on your teeth, but if you brush daily you have no problems.
Diet soda's are a different matter. Zero calories, but it does contain aspartame which is a carcinogen. If you are dieting, this is the best option for you. However, it is best that you dont drink your calories. Drink water instead, it's just naturally better. Soda tends to make you feel bloated as well (not that alot of water doesnt but you know...)
But if you just like drinking soda, dont drink to much. Coke has been proven to eat the lining of people's throats who drink it several times a day.

Bad" is a matter of opinion. Soft drinks are basically industrial waste, but a small amount of that probably won't kill you (right away).
I don't trust artificial sweeteners, and regular soft drinks have seven teaspoons of sugar -- fun thought. If you don't burn it (all of it), you build fat with the rest. Other chemicals are citric acid, phosphoric acid and other neat stuff. The carbonated water leaches minerals from bone and also from the aluminum of the cans. It gets plastic in there, too, so stay with glass, if possible.

a resounding YES! As if the caffeine, sugar and artificial ingredients aren't bad enough: According to numerous household cleaning Websites, soda can clean your toilet, eliminate rust from a car bumper and remove grease from clothing. Is that what you want in your body?

have you ever read the list of ingredients?
filtered water, sugar and a bunch of additives and preservatives. just about everything that the body "doesn't" need. phosphoric acid leaches calcium from bones, high fructose corn syrup decreases insulin sensitivity and increases serum lipids and caeffine is a diuretic.
there isn't one good thing about soda...

Soda pop is full of empty calories. However, it would be ok if you drank it sparingly and made sure to exercise daily.

Yes! it contains high fructose corn syrup. Our bodies have a really hard time digesting this and it ends up as fat. And there are lots of preservatives that our bodies cant handle very well.
