Can you safely send musical cards through the mail? Do I need to write "Hand Cancel" on the envelope to ensure the card doesn't gte crushed and stop working?

I would put it in an envelope that has bubble wrap lining on the inside. On the outside I would write on the lower left hand corner - FRAGILE PLEASE HAND CANCEL
And of course be sure to use a extra postage.
Good Luck!

They are generally safe to send in regular mail.

No, you don't have to. They will just reach their destination safely and you will be announced.
