when a guy that used to like you (but denies having feelings for you now because of your ex boyfriend) tells you that your ex is a jerk/*** and that you shouldnt bother talking with him...what is he thinking?
ps. the ex in this situation is the guys best friend...
pss. and what would you think if a friend of both of them recently told you that they (your ex and the guy) both talk about you at school? (not necessarily bad talk, just talk in general)
1. does that the guy likes you still

1. Yes the guy still likes you but maybe not in a romantic way.
2. He knows his friend very well and what his friend usually talks about. He thinks that his friend may have ulterior motives with his intentions about you. Because he likes you, as a close friend, he doesn't want to see you get hurt.
3. Just because he still likes you doesn't mean that he wants to put a "move" on you.
4. The best relationships start off with great friendships. Just be his close friend. It may draw him closer.

From my experience as a guy here it is:
He's thinking exactly what he's saying, but it might not last. If his best friend ie. your ex is indeed a jerk or man-whore he probably means what he's saying, and if he repeatedly ignores you or shuns you for more than a week I'd say forget it, it doesn't matter if you like him or not. On the flip side if the hostility fades quickly and he knows you like him it is likely he was just angry at his friend that day or whatever and he probably does like you.
