the whole convo hints that the person has a crush on u but hes jus tryin to be cool and it really bothers him if hes turned down so thts the reason y hes tryin to be so cool

did he smirk while talking or sound sarcasitc? if he did, he was flirting. I'm just judging by my own experiences so i moight not be completely right.
