A simple spring doesn't have a mechanism, it's a coil.
I believe that in folklore, there was a belief that there was a mythical relationship between something called 'The Force', 'spring constant eternal ' and 'delta x'
'Delta x' was a strange beast, sometimes happy (+ve) and sometimes unhappy (-ve), but it never knew which was best, because +ve and -ve was completely at the behest of the observer. It was magic, because in the end it never made any difference.
This undoubtedly caused the spring some problems and sometimes, it felt very tense, while at other times it felt very pressurised.

Yeah...... It's all about local microdistortions of the metallic lattice and the energy stored in Van der Waals bonds. It's pretty awesome stuff.
Or was 'Mechanism of a Spring' a Punk-Rock band in the 80's?

after winter,,the earth gets closer to the sun thus brings spring,,,so the mechanism would be the earths axes...or if you want to use an analogy of a metal spring you could say tension,,,like the earths gravitational pull
