I recently split up with my partner and am now living with my parents. They both work full time, I work 32 hours a week and what I earn just covers my childcare costs.

regardless of the fact that you live with your parents you can claim child care costs. The only time this would stop is if you move in with a new partner.

Did you and your partner set up a joint tax credit claim?

If you did you MUST inform the Revenue of your change of circumstances call 0845 300 3900 get the advisors name, and tell them of the change of circumstances and insist on confirmation of the change in writing to your new address.

If you are not already in a tax credit award then again go to the helpline 0845 300 3900 and they will advise you of what you can claim.

You can also go the link below and you can be told on line what you are entitled to after filling the boxes.

Who takes care of the kids? Do you pay someone? If you pay, you can claim it.
