It's not bad for you, actually eating an egg a day is good for you!! It has protein which is why you stay fuller longer, plus I heard that eggs are good for your brain. ^_^

It really depends on whom you ask, and what your current health is like, but even if you have high cholesterol you can still enjoy eggs for breakfast.

Since you eat eggs just about everyday make sure you are buying the best eggs you can get your hands on. Organic Free Range is best, and they have a better flavor.

There are some really healthy eggs out there that come chickens that are feed a good whole grain diet instead of standard commercial chicken feed. It makes the egg higher in good fat like Omega 3, and reduces the bad fats. So if you can’t find Organic Free Range, then get the eggs with the extra Omega 3 they were feed better the standard egg.

Also buy your eggs often; they have more nutrients when they are fresh. After a week or two they have lost a lot of vitamins and minerals.

If cholesterol is a serious concern of your then you might also want to look into the different protein powders out there and have a protein smoothie for breakfast, or stir some hemp protein or other protein powder into some oatmeal. The oats will help lower your cholesterol and the protein will help keep you full.

Protein may not be the only factor with eggs being more satisfying. The fat content of the eggs can be very satisfying as well. Some people don’t do well at all on a extremely low fat diet because the feel hungry all the time, and it affects their memory and thought processes. The brain is mostly fat. Adding as little as a 1tsp of healthy fat to their diet makes a world of difference, some people need as much as a 1Tbsp added to their diet.

This however doesn’t apply to most people today, it’s much more common in Native American who until the last few generations thrived on a diet very high is animals meat which included lots of fat from healthy grass & grain eating animals like buffalo and deer.

How many eggs a day are good for you?

If you don’t high cholesterol then up to 3 eggs with the yolk is healthy. However the National Cholesterol Education Program (NCEP), recommendation for individuals with high cholesterol is to limit yolk consumption to 2 per week.

When you remove the yolk you are removing some of the goodness, which includes, all Omega-3 FattyAcids, Vitamin A, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Vitamin K and Lutein + Zeaxanthin, as well as having a major impact on the amount of Folate, Vitamin B12,
Choline, Calcium and Iron; according to the USDA.

The two links I’ve provided should supply anyone with enough information to determine for themselves the right amount of eggs for their diet. Listen to your body and it’s a source of great inner wisdom.

well, lots of people say that it could bring your cholesterol up, but that really depends on the individual metabolism. I can tell you the reason that you are not feeling hungry is cause on the protein in the egg. now that protein is found on the white, while the cholesterol in found on the yolk, so eat the whites only on some days and other days eat the whole egg, that way is all balanced. Also you can try eating some nuts and see if you get the same effect of not feeling hungry.

No, it's perfectly healthy. Just never have more than one because one egg has 70-75% of a 2,000 calorie diet's cholesterol. Try this website:

it is the protein and protein will stick with you much longer....but if you have an issue with cholesterol you shouldn't eat eggs everyday.....try switching up and have oatmeal one day and an egg white omelet the next...then have a regular egg...good luck

The yolk is really high in cholesterol, so if you must have it every morning, eat the yolk twice a week at most. The white is fine.
