Why are there so many stupid questions, this is probably one of them, but can't people do they're own research onthe net or read it in a book, I'm seeing too many dumb questions about dogs and cats on hear and it really bothers me! Can't they use the DISCOVER BUTTON!?

Well, I don't know about a lot of people asking dumb questions, but isn't asking this dumb question a dumb question. Ha Ha People like to use the internet. People like to communicate and this is the safest way to communicate when you don't really know someone. Some people are more comfortable asking their "dumb"questions when they can't see a face. Somehow it makes the question more important. And then there are those who just don't know the answers and don't think their questions are dumb at all. Never criticize someone's elses actions. People are just human after all.

I had someone tell me they ask stupid question to get people fired up..lol Trust me they sure did get people fired up. The one that bothers me the most are the illness questions about their dogs. Why they would put their dog in harm way by asking people in here that don't have a clue what could be wrong. Like... why have a vet I can just ask people in here ..well duhhhhhhhhhhhh. I also see people asking questions right after they seen their vet.. WHY DIDN'T THEY ASK VET WHEN THEY WERE THERE another duhhhhhhhh. I guess people are people you can't change them.. They will always ask stupid question and we will keep asking our self why do they ask such stupid questions lol

Because there are people who really don't know how to utilize the internet like some people. Some, like my mother, has someone else find the information for them, because it is quicker, more thorough, and more accurate than if they had tried to find out for themselves. Others just want a personal opinion on top of what information that they can come up with.

I think the more pressing question is - if there is something wrong with someone's pet, why would you waste time typing on your computer instead of taking it to a vet?
People - what do you think vets are there for?
They're there to HELP YOU AND YOUR PET.
They spent many years in med school, and are therefore the best equipped to answer your pet health questions!

I think sometimes cause they know what they have done is wrong, but they are looking for someone else to tell them they did the right thing. No matter what the question is, there is always someone else stupid enough to come along and tell them that they did the right thing...
