Yes you can but this can be potently dangerous. This is what is called a closed system distillation. This kind of distillation can go BOOM without some form of pressure monitoring or control. If you plan on doing this please think it through thoroughly.

you could get a good length of tubing, connect it to the steam outlet, coil the pipe through a bowl of cold water with the end of the pipe inside your collecting bottle.

it would be better to make whiskey or moonshine this way, a bit more dangerous. you can buy distilled water ask at a garage if they could get you a large bottle at cost price

Yes, all you need is a condenser that condenses the steam back to water. There are several condensers , but you can build your own. Just look on intenet for building condensers on your own, there are plenty out there.
