Why is it after I get a really bad headache I feel lightheaded afterwards? This doesn't happen with every headache just when I have a really bad one. Has anyone ever had this before, does it sound normal. What do you do to get rid of the lightheadedness. I only took two tylenol so it isn't like I took a whole lot of meds.

I don't have the headache anymore. I also think I know the cause. I came home last night and someone had smoked a cigar in my house. I am almost 100% that caused it.

Are you diabetic? Do you wear glasses? Diabetics often have vision problems which cause headaches, sick head aches.
Do you have high blood pressure? Are these headaches during, as, or after stressful moments?

Sweetie there are so many reasons for that that it is almost impossible for the normal person to answer your question with a very reliable answer.

May I suggest a good physical? Good Luck.

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck.
Headaches can be caused by minor problems
like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more serious reasons
like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can
have harmful side effects, so it is better to
modify your lifestyle. More information available at
