He began studying four years ago at the suggestion of Jane Fonda. He got baptized a little over a year ago. You don't become a witness simply by deciding to. It takes time and commitment. I rather doubt he needs to get out much in the field work as he has plenty of chances for incidental witnessing, with the amount of people he comes into contact with.

If you do a little research, you will note that there is a long list of performers who are witnesses, but they receive no special recognition, as you would find in other religions. As for making a donation, they have to do it the same way any other witness does, at the Kingdom Hall using the little box in the back. You can't even send the check the the Watchtower and have it accepted.

It is somewhat of a more difficult life, in that your life has to reflect the moral imperatives. This can be particularly hard on actors, as they don't take rolls involving sex, killing, etc. Look up info on the old TV Series "Get Christi Love".

Last I heard, he still is.
When Club 3121 opened at the Rio Las Vegas last Fall, it was mentioned in more than one local paper that he is a Witness. I haven't heard anything since then.
