Interracial relationships in japan?

my father is getting transfered to japan and and I have to go to which is fine because i've always wanted to live in japan and I really find japanese women attractive and I heard that most japanese people look down on interracial relationships is this true

Some Japanese natives will have a problem;
sometimes they will make examples of foriegners and Japanese lovers in statistic books for foriegn crime...since few foriegners who come to stay in japan are fluent you make not notice these publications . although you should still;
continue on if you want a relationship, refrain from vulgarity in public, Japanese are extremely nice but they usually think stuff about you but don't say it or they say sly things in Japanese unaware if you know the language or not. Just keep a good appearance and never slack around and they will open to you.

I really don't think that interracial dating is frowned upon as much as black and white interracial relationships are. I am in an interracial marriage and believe me, most people have more of a problem with seeing my circumstance than yours. By the way I lived in Japan, (on Okinawa) and it didn't seem to be a problem.

It WAS true... It is also probably more true in urban areas where there are more foreigners, but from my experience (and I know a number of interracial japanese/american, canadian, british, irish, etc. couples ) they do not seem to encur any inordinant degree of negativity about their relationships. In general, a Japanese girl dating a foriegn guy is thought of as cool and the object of envy by her friends... This does change significantly if we are talking about non white interracial couples. Ironically (compared to the U.S) Black/Japanese couples seem to garner no more negativity than whites, but if a Japanese woman dates a SouthEast asian (Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese, Indonesian etc.) , there is significantly more prejudice. If it is a Japanese man with a foriegn woman however, it doesn't seem to matter much at all where she is from. The onus appears to be exclusively on Japanese women and then only in ceration situations. I wouldn't worry, just by vertue of being foriegn and assuming you get to meet a number of Japanese girls, and are a reasonably outgoing person, dating in Japan should not be a problem at all.

Depends, on which part of japan. I heard a town a in japan is highly ethnically diverse. But I think in general, japanese love white people, especially from the US. Im not sure about this, but its what I hear from people.

i doubt it , once they get used to who you are and what youre really like then i doubt it, be yourself , be cool but dont be arrogant, just play it cool and simple, dont mess with other dudes girls cause you might get yourself killed if you end up trying to hook up with a yakuza girl. anyhow take it easy , best of luck to you , and by the way..... if you like soccer and get married to a jap girl , hey maybe your kid can be a good addition to the Japanese international soccer squad , help them out , know what i mean? anyhow remember to play it cool, be yourself and dont hook up with taken girls. best of luck , by the way lucky! japan is badass.
