I am almost 17, but not until may. I want to get a credit card. My aunt has great credit and has volunteered to cosign if I found one. I don't want a credit card if I have to open up some type of account and put like $300 in it and then the money I put into the account is used for my credit card. I want a card, where they actually put credit on it. I am very responsible and trustworthy, that is why my aunt is willing to do this. My bank offers a teen loan/credit card up to $1000, but a parent or legal guardian has to be the cosigner. My parents don't have good credit, so that won't happen. I have a friend who is 15 and she has a credit card, but her grandpa cosigned. Please help me find a card!

Your aunt could just put you on as an authorized user... but she'd be responsible for any late payment or missed payment.

Why do you want a credit card so badly at your age? It's REALLY easy to go into debt at college, I'd imagine high school would be even worse. Are you trying to purchase things you'd need to be 18+ for and to use that as "proof" that you're old enough? You could get by opening a joint account with a parent and using a debit card instead.

You may want to consider a student credit card. These cards are designed for students with little or no income. You can see a complete list here:

If your aunt is willing to cosign-- you might be able to apply for one of these offers. Just take a look at the terms and conditions on the application to see if you're eligible.

GOOD LUCK!

I have found a button on the source. It leads to a site that does not turn anyone down for a credit card and no credit checks. The site is great for other resources.
