First try to see if there is a reason "leadership" is not caring including, if you have not done so, seeking the opinions of others in the group.
Here are some things to look for:
- Is the group acomplishing its objectives? If it is, the problems you speak of may not be considered important by this leader.
- If the group is failing to accomplish its objectives, are the problems you speak of the cause of this failure? If they are, it is important to explain to the leader how these problems are effecting the group's ability to accomplish its objectives.
- If there are no clear objectives for the group, then there will be problems and it is important to tell the leader that problems are arising because there are no clear. objectives.
I wrote "leadership" because another possibility is that the group may have a manager or an administrator and not a leader. A real leader will care about real problems. If you and/or others need a caring person you have to tell the present leader about this and, if s/he doesn't change or replace themselves as leader, you need to be prepared to leave the group.

I would approach leadership and then ask the question to them first before taking any action. Get their response and determine if it is acceptable to you or not. If it is the case, that they are not concerned about the groups problems then I would notify them after a period of time of your decision to leave the church or the organization .

Remove them from their "High-Horse" or throne; and definitely split from these type of people. Jesus gave us an example that a Leader will tend to his flock and the sick or lame he shall carry, and the weak. and he shall care for and minister to their needs. Even Jesus got on His knees and washed the feet of his disciples. A servant to His Brethren.
If they are too high and mighty thinking of theirselves, I tell you they are like the Scribes and Pharisees, and have neither lot nor part with God.

They may have become preoccupied with a personal problem. Maybe you should (nicely) bring your concerns to their attention privately. If the situation doesn't change, then you need to bring it to the attention of the next one up in authority. But, of course, pray before doing any of these things.

Vote em out right away.
If not able, walk away from the group, but not before letting everyone know why.

Leave because (s)he is not a real leader and find a true one. Or confront her/him.
