NO best, good guy friend is available at school. There is one, but he hangs with girls. Well, he will not want to be my friend. I want a friend that is fun to hang with and comforts me when I am down. How can I find a best, good guy friend when none are available?

I would like to add that I am a 13 year-old-boy in the 7th grade. God bless you all that have answered me and those who will come to answer. I HIGHLY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP!

I have few friends. The ones I have, I work to keep. The main way to earn friends is to stop looking for someone to be your friend and start looking to be a friend. Fill a need for someone else and help your self at the same time. If you're refusing to hang with someone because of who he/she hangs with -- then you're the one with the problem. You have to be strong enough to say "no" when it needs to be said.

How to find one is hard. I am 42 and did not have a friend who was a guy like that until I was 38. He is 9 years younger but we talk of anything. There area no limits. What we share is us only. He has moved on in life, but when we can see each other we can talk forever. I need to have time more often but it is hard. I am in the same boat again really.

Guys seem to have more trouble than women do, that's for sure. Are you interested in anything? Football? Fishing? Sounds like you're pretty young (still in school). Have you thought about joining a school club?
Also, you say you're Christian. If you go to church, maybe there are some other guys your age there.
Find things you like to do, and join activities where a group of people get together to do those things. Good luck!

How about someone from your church - that might work.
Think about your interests, then join clubs at school with those who have the same interests (chess, computers, etc.).
If you like sports, join a team.
Bowling leagues might be a winner.
Good luck :)

Isn't there anyone from church that you can find a friend through? Like a family member or something.
