scripture does not indicate he hovered in thought, what he was wearing or carrying. Doesn't indicate they were notified at all. Scripture indicates that seemed surprised because they kept looking for a long time...almost as if they were waiting for a return appearance or some other thing to happen and angels came and asked them what they were doing standing there watching. That Jesus would come again some day in the same manner he left.

According to Luke, Author of the book of Acts, over 500 people witnessed Jesus rising into the clouds. These people believed strong enough that they gave their lives for their belief. Most of them were tortured, fed to the lions, crucified, beaten, imprisoned, and persecuted for what they saw that day. If this would have been a hoax, Christianity would have went no further than Jesus hanging on a cross.

Jhn 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, [even] the Son of man which is in heaven.
Jhn 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
Jhn 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Jhn 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Jhn 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Jhn 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Jhn 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

I dont think that the Lord Jesus Christ's ascension into heaven was like say in the "Wizard of Oz" where all the munchkin villagers were waiving bye to the Wizard ??
No, I dont think it was like that at all ...
Luke 24 says :
The Ascension
50 And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. 51 While He was blessing them, He parted from them and was carried up into heaven. 52 And they, after worshiping Him, returned to Jerusalem with great joy, 53 and were continually in the temple praising God.
Read the bible - its great for the soul ...

You heard it where? These 'details' that do not appear in the 4 Bible accounts are embellishments that don't really have anything important to impart to believers or non-believers. I would hazard a guess that we church people agree that if it's not in the Bible, it wasn't important enough to keep a record of.

No. It should not be a hoot. it rather is extremely unhappy and tragic. "yet God prepare his anger from heaven against all sinful, evil adult males who push away the certainty from them. For the certainty approximately God is time-commemorated to them instinctively; God has placed this awareness of their hearts. on the grounds that earliest circumstances adult males have considered the earth and sky and all God made, and function time-commemorated of his life and great eternal ability. so they're going to have not got any excuse while they stand till now God at Judgment Day." - Romans a million:18 - 20.

Are you reading the Bible literally?
Frankly, I don't -- I read this as an attempt to explain something beyond our understanding -- but the person who wrote this tried to describe how Jesus was no longer walking the earth but was now with God at the center of all reality and continuing to exist with God and as God.
