he'll go back in. just be patient and tell him he is a good boy. move his food for a day or 2 if you want and try to get ease him in the kichen with you. stand so you are blocking his view of where the pots fell.

Try sitting with him while hes eating and then slowly move away after a couple of times or move the food bowl to somewhere else away from the cabinet.

If you've ever had a dog pee on the carpet you'll understand, that not even three minutes later it's out of site, out of mind. He'll shake it off, don't sweat it.

Is it a "dog" or a "want-a-bee"? Maybe you need to reassess what it is you have! If he can be classified a "dog" then take him hunting! Best way to get a dog over that "shell shock" whimpiness or put his butt outside at night!

it's not confidence, it's scared. my dog is petrified of the lawn mower/blower, and shakes so much. it's just something we deal with, and hold him until it passes.
