i have a 4 year old baby brother and i do not understand him sometimes last night my step mom and i were watching gh and he woke up screaming. i wanna coddle him but i can't i'm not allowed to. that is not the part i don't understand it is that why he kix,hits,smax,throwz thingz,spitz,screamz,hatez me . what do i do?

Maybe he had a bad dream, and he just wants to hear someone's familiar voice and was okay to go back to sleep. If he doesn't want hugs and kisses, then just leave him alone. Maybe he's a child that wants hugs and kisses when he gives them.

He's 4. He doesn't hate you. Smaller children have a harder time expressing their feelings like you and I. Instead of saying I am mad at you he resorts to hitting and such. He will grow out if it.

why aren't you allowed to cuddle with him? that would be comforting him...
