Why not latte dresses with wine sashes?
Or wine colored bouquets? I think somehow combining the colors would be quite elegant.
Or even two-toned like this

I think wine would be ok for a summer wedding, but maybe you should add a 3rd color to brighten things up. Pink would look really nice with the colors wine and champagne. The bridesmaids could wear wine dresses with pink sashes or detail.

you want wine then wine it is!! Hurry up and get the dresses tho many dress stores want a 6- 8 week window at least before they start talking extra cost for rush order. Bridesmaid dress usually don't come off the rack they usually have to be ordered. If you need some help winning your mom over check out the Alfred Angelo adds and web page he has bridesmaids in wine/red colour posed in front of the ocean(can you get any more summer than that?)

Go with the wine color. By the fashion being worn today everyone should see that "fall", "spring", "summer" and "winter" colors are actually being worn year round. Besides, champagne and wine colors are great together and would make a beautiful wedding!!! Good luck.

The wine color would be beautiful. However, chocolate would be nice too. You could always add a punch of color with vibrant flowers. Hot pink looks great with brown hues. Gerber daisies come in a wide variety of colors, and pinks are one of them. Very hip and modern. Honestly, I would ask the bridesmaids what color they would prefer wearing. Either way, it sounds like a beautiful wedding.

I've been to a couple of weddings where they have had brown (or latte) colored bridesmaid dresses. Absolutely beautiful. Add the color to the flowers or to the men's vests and ties.

I think a light yellow for the bridesmaid dresses would be nice, or maybe silver? Not much matches with champagne because it is a neutral color so only other neutrals would match, like maybe white?

If you like a wine color then the decision is totally yours.Nowdays any color of your choice can be used.
However if you go with your moms choice........you could use wine in your flowers and accesories.
Latte is an earth (fall) color if it comes right down to it anyway
Good luck in your new venture.

Maybe since your gown is champagne you could go with a lighter dusty rose, mauve, or pink if your really concerned about the darker color for spring but these days i don't think it matters to much, its your wedding and you should be able to have whatever you want, Good luck with your upcoming marriage

It's YOUR wedding, choose whatever you like! I am using burgandy for a spring wedding. I do like the idea of latte with wine sache, that sounds very nice & it's adds a splash of color. You could accent it with wine color in the bouquets, by adding berries, ribbon, etc. Good luck & CONGRATS!!
