What is wrong with being gay?

Nothing, but unfortunately some people believe that it's a sin and you'll go to hell for it. Rather than just believing that and letting everyone take their own actions and carry their own responsibilities for what will or will not happen after death, some of them feel the need to push their believes on the rest of the world, 'saving' them. But these aren't my beliefs, I think there's nothing wrong with being gay.

Once upon a time you pretty much needed a conventional family because if you didn't have children and you got old and/or sick, you could easily become a burden to society. And unfortunately there are still places in the world where there is no insurance, no health care, no care for the elderly... I guess in those areas it might be a bit selfish to form a gay couple or, for that matter, a hetero couple who are childless by choice (not to mention being single by choice, as I am). But if you're posting here on Yahoo Answers, using a computer & writing understandable English, you're probably not living in a situation like that :)

There is nothing wrong with being gay, and its very sad to me that society is the way it is. I wish people wouln't judge based on sexual orientation. That does not decide the kind of person that you are.

it's become soo cliche to say "there's nothing wrong with being gay" but man was intended for WOMAN and woman was intended for MAN! Think about it like this, if the world turned gay, what would become of the human race? YES, it is wrong to be gay, because it's unnatural. Many gays love to retort with "well homosexuality happens in the animal kingdom and it isn't hurting anyone else, it's between two consenting people!" but on that same token, incest also happens in nature as well as in the human race, but those people are frowned upon because that's wrong as well. Homosexuality and incest are both two sexual wrongdoings and should be outlawed instead of praised and worshipped. Men should learn to be men instead of acting like something they're not - same with women.

Wrong? Nothing, I suppose. Do what you want all I would ask is don't force others to deal with it for you. I met a man once who upon having learned his name and shaken his hand told me, " I'm gay and I have a lover." I wanted to say, " I'm not. I don't care and didn't want to know."

Nothing as long as you are comfortable with it. Although some will say it is wrong and in some sense it is, as in the biblical sense. You have to be comfortable with who you are and then it doesn't matter what common people say.

Nothing - there's nothing wrong with anyone's sexual preference so long as it is consentual and not involving minors.
