I know some McDojang that will sell you one outright.
Do not put emphasis on rank. It has no real meaning.
It is just a system for organizing people within and organization.
It should never be talked about.
Put your emphasis on the quality and frequency of your training.
Is your goal to get a colored piece of fabric that you can brag about or the knowledge and ability it represents?

A black belt is just a belt. It's more about the attitude you get over the years of training which make you a black belt.
But for specific years, it depends on the school. It's usually 4-5 years, but some places it can take 10+ years.

It relies upon on how oftentimes you prepare, your dedication, age and ability. on the college the position I prepare the least era of time for everybody replaced into 2 years 4 months. yet fairly gifted people conventional about 4 years. many people take 6 years or more advantageous. and some under no circumstances attain black belt. So, in case you prepare 6 days a week, 2 hours/day, artwork your butt off, are somewhat athletic, and between 16 and 30 (adults study swifter than youthful ones, and youngsters are more advantageous athletic.) you are able to anticipate to earn a blackbelt in 3 years. yet different faculties have different prepare-in-rank criteria. this signifies that you do not in simple terms study the hot stuff and get to flow on. you may spend a particular era of time at each rank so that you strengthen and strengthen as a martial artist. So it also will count number on your Sabunim's guidelines. also, please comprehend that when a martial artist earns their blackbelt, it really is in person-friendly words the starting up of their preparation. All it means is they be conscious of the fundamentals. it is going to take a number of (5-10) years formerly they are called gifted. do not concentration on the belt. which will in person-friendly words make you boastful. concentration on your preparation and the Tenets. which will make you a martial artist.

At a reputable school I'd say anywhere from 4-7 years. But many McDojos will push students through and speed it up to 2 years. Be wary of these schools. They are not teaching self defense they are selling a fashion accesory. One which will get your *** kicked up and down the street if you ever have to really use it. They dumb down the testing to where anyone can pass.
Be wary of any school you see that cranks out 8 year old blackbelts by the truckload. Focus more on the quality of your training than on obtaining ranks.

there are the fake schools that give you a black belt depending on how much money you give them. real schools take at least 3 years. if you train hard, get top scores on your tests and go to practice daily you can make it in 3 years. i think the average is around 4 or 5.

It depends on the type of taekwondo and if you test every chance you get. I'm in Songahm Taekwondo, and testing almost every cycle I got my black belt in about two years. However, that's really just the beginning, you get into much more interesting things once you get to that level.
