How can I take prettier pictures,I always look really bad,and I'm a pretty girl, but the pictures dont show that AT ALL! I have a really special person that wants to see what I look like, but he lives many miles away, and that only leaves taking pictures as an option.I dont want to send him bad pictures of myself, but I just cant seem to take good ones.Anyone know a quick tip to make me look decent in pictures?

have someone take the pics in a natural setting.
also, it helps when you really don't pose for the pics.

Try taking pics outside on a sunny day. Lights inside a house can very often make the picture look "bad". If that isn't an option try setting your camera to a 32 second delay and take your pic in a low light situation like by candelight.

Don't shoot straight on and no tight closeups and if you can put a highlight light/ lamp behind you so it gives the halo effect to your hair. Don't use camera flash ...use as much natural light as possible. Or, take a photo during the golden hour when the sun is setting and it will give your skin a much more pleasing tone to it. Don't force your smile.

humm.. If you take pictures from a higher angle then you it gets rid of a lot of shadows that make you look as if you have bags under your eyes or double chins etc...etc...etc... Get someone to stand above you a bit when they take it and angle the camera down....thats as much as I know.lol!
