People with spondylitis and other HLA-B27 related disorders are prone to iritis. Iritis is also found in those with rheumatoid arthritis, Behcet's disease, Crohn's disease, lupus, Reiter's disease, chronic psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, sarcoidosis, scleroderma, and ulcerative colitis.
Iritis is usually secondary to some other systemic condition, but can be the only apparent somatic symptom.
Treatment :
* Steroid anti-inflammatory eye drops (such as prednisolone acetate)
* Dilating eye drops (to help prevent synechia and reduce photophobia)
* Pressure-reducing eye drops (such as brimonidine tartrate)
* Oral steroids (such as prednisone)
* Subconjunctival steroid injections
* Steroid-sparing agents such as methotrexate (for prolonged, chronic iritis)

I dont think that just by taking some herbal remedies you will feel better,, sometimes depression justs hits women due to hormones, stress which obviously you have been under lately, repressed feelings and so on... there are times when your body , soul and spirit can't take it any more and you need to release some of cry for no apparent reason, get angry and pick fights, or have panick attacks .. I suggest you do whatever makes you feel happy for the moment and pray sweety,, to any supreme force you believe in and get some sunlight and fresh air.

I've had iritis several times. My eye doctor said that he see's the most patients with iritis in the spring, which makes him think that people with springtime allergies tend to get iritis at that time. He also said that it's an auto-immune disease, so you want to see if you have any other autoimmune disease that the irits could be related to. It's VERY important to get it treated by an eye doctor because if it's left untreated you could permanently lose vision in that eye. My treatment was always two different eye drops, one was prednisolone, and the other one is to keep the pupil dilated (so wear your sunglasses all the time outdoors) so that the eye will be at rest all the time so that it can heal faster. Once the eye has healed, the eye doctor will have you slowly wean yourself off the prednisolone eye drops. You have to do it slowly or you can cause the iritis to come back (that happened to me once). It is annoying, and you have to go to the eye doctor frequently to make sure it's healing and not getting worse, but you sure don't want to lose your eye!

Am I safe in assuming you mean Arthritis? There are actually two kinds. One is osteoarthritis and it is from wear and tear on joints, basically just wearing out. The other is rheumatoid arthritis and it is an auto-immune disease in that your body is sending cells to kill a part of your own body. It cause red, hot swollen joints and is treated by chemo therapy. You need to see a Rheumatologist for it as it is very serious. All of us get osteo as we age. You can take things like Ibuprofen for the pain but the newest remedy that actually works is to drink cherry juice. This came out of research at the University of Michigan and is not a quack remedy but is good science. You can buy it in liquid or pill form at the health food store. It has helped me more than anything. Good Luck and God Bless
