I have vegetable oil, canola oil, and peanut oil. I'm not real sure about the difference. I usually use canola oil to deep fry with. But I have peanut oil left over from Fondue Night. I'd like to get that used up.... Any suggestions? :o) TY!

Peanut oil is the best for deep fat frying. It can take the temperatures without braking down or smoking. I find that canola oil leaves an after taste. So whens dinner?????

Peanut oil is best, cause it has a higher smoke level than the others, but you can mix any and all of those mentioned.
Peanut is also the choice for turkey frying. It imparts less flavor and you can increase the temperature another 25 degrees and get very little oil in your food.

I'd use either canola oil or vegetable oil. You can use the peanut oil if you want to.

Peanut oil. it adds some flavor and it doesn't smoke. Southern cooking fried in lard but that is not really good for the body. However, it never hurt me that I know of.

vegetable oil is always a favorite for me and everyone I know, but my mother is a wonderful chef and she always tells me to use peanut oil because it is supposed to be better.

I prefer peanut myself. We get enough corn products in everything else we eat. Try looking at the ingredients and picking out something that doesn't have corn syrup or corn starch in it.
