Here's why I ask:
Genesis 1:27 "God created man in his own image..."
Exodus 20:4 "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above..."
Thus, any picture (camera, portrait, etc.) of a person would be a "likeness" of god (in heaven), and violate the 4th Commandment. So do you allow people to take your picture?

A line from a well respected paper on Rembrabdt "Jews themselves did not paint portraits of one another. For one, the Jewish commandment against committing idolatry was historically interpreted as forbidding the creation of [such] images."

I am not sure about Christians and Jews, however most Muslims do allow their pictures to be taken however some do not approve of it.

DUH!!!!
Look pal, the issue of idolatry in Islam is for making statues, but taking pictures for an ID is neccessary these days to identify each person, ..etc thus it's not an idolatry, the only forbidden people in Islam to take their pictures (or to draw them or make statues of them) are god, the holy prophets like Moses, Jesus, Muhammad. The holy people like Muhammad's companions, wives, Lady Mary,..etc

Please quote Exodus 20:4 in its entirety. We are commanded not to make images and bow down to them. "You must not bow down to them nor be induced to serve them, because I Jehovah your God am a God exacting exclusive devotion."
It is obvious that there is nothing inherently wrong in making images inasmuch as God gave Moses the details of what the tabernacle was supposed to have on its walls. And God gave details about how the cherubs on the Ark of the Covenant were supposed to look.
Full quotes, dear, full quotes.

Uh...yeah. That quote was intended to keep people from worshiping other people/ images. Since we're not worshiping ourselves or our family, it is definitely allowed.

Singly, they do. The only time you'll see them all in the same shot is when they are trying to kill each other.
