Their is a spray you can buy at walmart called now chew, when sprayed on the coat it leaves a bitter taste and this stops them from wanting to chew. If the hair is being pulled out then try hot spot it is a medicine that heals areas that are chewed. Also my grandmother puts vegetable oil in the dog food and that seems to help a lot. Good luck with the new pup!

Keep your dog on leash at all times when you're home so you can closely monitor her chewing habits. Whenever she puts anything in her mouth. Remove it from her mouth and say "No Chewing". If she is chewing on furniture as soon as she goes to bite it give a stern jerk of the leash and and say "No Chewing". I have done this method with every puppy I've had and it has always worked and NONE of my possessions were ever chewed up and destroyed. The only way it will be effective is if you're persistant and keep on her case about it.

A dog should be trained on how to eat, walk with you, not to bark, potty training and sleep on its place etc. You can teach anything to your puppy, dogs get trained easily with some good instructions. If you want some good training tips visit https://tr.im/trainanydog
If properly trained, they should also understand whistle and gesture equivalents for all the relevant commands, e.g. short whistle or finger raised sit, long whistle or flat hand lay down, and so on.
It's important that they also get gestures and whistles as voice may not be sufficient over long distances and under certain circumstances.

You can buy this very helpful spray that tastes bitter to dogs but is not at all harmful. Just lightly mist the places he likes to chew. This is what my friend did when her basset puppy started sucking on his long ears. Just be sure not to spray in the eyes or any "other" areas.

If you have the spray bitters do a little squirt on th effected areas. That'll keep her from chewing until you can get her to the vet and get checked for fleas, food, or environmental allergies.

first of all, don't feed any food with corn or wheat.
Secondly, treat the reason for the allergies. This supplement should really help> http://springtimeinc.com/product/88/2
I heartily recommend it..
Also, If your pup is allergice to fleas, even one flea can trigger the reaction.
this is a good site to give you some insight into this problem>

Likely a food allergy or fleas, but you'll need to see your vet.
