I have read lots of things that mention Dec. 2012..and possible, well, events that might occur. I know that it is the Winter Solstice, as predicted by the Mayans a long time ago...as that's when their calendar ends...but is it possible something will occur?
-Dimensional shift
-Advanced evolution
-Some devasting event
-Coming of Christ

Im not saying I believe this, but I find it interesting.

I'd like to hear your thoughts..

that date, and more important, that year comes from not just Mayan like most believe. Nor just Nostradamus, but from some 20 languages and races around the world. Even my Native Cherokee mention that date and have stories about the giant having his legs knocked out from under him (twin towers, giant is USA).

I have done some studies, but since it would be fortune telling, there is no way to know for sure. All we can do is what the Bible says " like a servant wanting for his master to return.....be on the watch ".

Science tells us on that date the earth will be in alignment with the center of the galaxy. This might cause the poles to shift, this might be the reason of global warming, it might be the return of planet X like some believe, it might be the returning of Yahushua, it might cause great earthquakes and waves, it could be a higher level of being or knowledge.

All we can do as man is guess...and wait...and more important.....BE ON THE WATCH. For the time of deception is upon us, so judge fruit wisely.

It is interesting, I agree. But I can pretty much cross off the evolution and Coming of Christ off your list. Some devasting event might take place or some sort of dimensional shift, but how those things can be foretold is beyond me lol

A lot of people thought that about midnight on Jan 1, 2000. No man knows the hour or the day of the coming of Christ. If we did, it would be chaos. It has to be this way, the unknowing part.

It's more just an ending date of the fourth dimension of thought, with no major changes like expected by many. The shifts driving it are already occuring (equality among humans starting with female rights in the early 1900s).

No its not possible or even probable, unless it is the day that God Chooses to return. I would spend more time worrying about that day, than anything else in the world. That day is so near, those who are walking with Christ,by reading his word, and watching for the signs, can almost hear the trumpet sounding,, that is how close we are to The Great event, the day that Angels will sort out the wheat from the grain. In other words, when that day arrives,God himself will appear in the sky, with a great trumpet sound, and those who have Believed, and watched for his coming,by prepareing their heart, and life, will be caught up in the air to be with Christ for all Eternity.

Yes something could happen that day that you speak of. Christ Himself could return. I pray that you are prepared, and that you prepare your Family and Friends.

I heard that the poles are shifting positions so this date might finalize that transition. But other than that, the Quran says we can not know when God will start the End so, i wont be counting on it. But personally, i think this is some kind of sign, like the birth of the Antichrist etc.

It is passable something will occur tomorrow but it is not predictable and certainly nothing is predictable in 2012. People have been predicting dooms day scenarios since the beginning of history and they never happen. Neither will anything happen in 2012.

A watched pot never boils.

I think that if everyone concerned about the evolution of mankind would stop hoping for the prophetic day when we all drop what we're doing and join hands to sing "We are the World," and instead immerse themselves into living great lives, we would wake up one day very soon to find that things have changed dramatically for the better.

I don't think anything will happen. I think Christ will come when least expected. As for the other things, I don't think we have to worry. Have the Mayans predicted anything that has come true?
