Yep, it's not gonna taste as fresh. What do you think people did before they started putting the expire dates on stuff? My grandparents would make bread pudding from stale bread. Also the date is a date for the store to sell it by also, so usually there's a grace period after those dates. Also with milk.
For both just test and see if you're satified with the taste.

Yep...even if it is moldy you can just take the mold off and eat it anyway. It won't kill you either way. Just tell yourself that mold is penicillin anyway so it's gotta be good for you! If you put it with moldy cheese it's even better for you.
I'm sort of kidding, but you seriously can eat the bread without any worries. I really don't encourage you to add the cheese. The bread may taste stale or even be either too hard or too soft, but it's edible.

The expiration date is in simple terms the most suitable day they could promote it. it frequently lasts 5-7 days previous the date. Bread is robust except you spot mildew on it. Oh, right here's a strong tip: whenever you purchase bread, get the loaf on the very again. you should take the front ones out to get to it, even if it really is continuously more advantageous sparkling than the bread in the front. They rotate the oldest to the front daily.

The dates put on food packaging are meant to tell retailers when they must sell the food by. People assume those dates are intended to tell them when food is fresh, and to some extent it does, but it's really meant for the grocery store people, so they know when to pull unsold products from their shelves.
Like you, I check bread for unwanted growth if the package says that the date has passed. But, I almost smell it. The nose only lies when you are ill already.
However, I only recommend eating bread several weeks past its expiration date if you have put the package in the freezer in the meantime.

Yes thats just how long it will be fresh. I don't think bread mold is lethal so even if you eat moldy bread I don't think it will kill you. Although I don't know who would want to.

If you don't see anything green it is probably OK, but it probably won't taste all that great if it is weeks after. I hate old bread. Let it dry out, toss it in your food processor and make bread crumbs.

another point about your question. i dont know why anyone would eat white bread. you might as well eat play dough due to the way it clogs up the colon. i guess if you have ibs it should be a big help.
